Phase 3 of reopening Springfield was announced on June 12th. The new guidelines will go into affect beginning at 12:01 am on June 15th. The order will be in effect until July 15th although it will be reevaluated before July 15th and could change if the city is ready to move into Phase 4 prior to the July 15th expiration of the order. PUBLIC GATHERINGS: The City is permitting special events on public property with a 25% occupancy limitation based on the square footage of the area.
RESTAURANTS & BARS: Dine in Service with 50% occupancy limitation based on square footage of indoor and outdoor seating areas, or 35 people, whichever is greater..No counter service or self-serve buffets..Bars, Nightclubs, and microbrewery tap rooms open with 50% occupancy limitation or 35 people, whichever is greater.
GYMS & FITNESS CENTERS: Open with 50% occupancy limit based on square footage, or 35 people, whichever is greater.
RELIGIOUS SERVICES, WEDDINGS & FUNERALS: In-person services allowed to operate with 50% of occupancy limitation based on square footage of individual rooms and facility, or 35 people, whichever is greater.
ENTERTAINMENT VENUES & MUSEUMS: Open with 50% occupancy limitation based on square footage of individual rooms and facility, or 35 people, whichever is greater. This includes movies, bowling, gaming venues and museums.
SPORTS & SPORTING EVENTS: Non-contact sports/activities allowed with 50% occupancy in fixed seating spectator areas. Contact sports activities/practices allowed with 50% occupancy based on square footage of fixed seating spectator areas
PERSONAL CARE SERVICES: Open with 50% occupancy limit (includes employees) based on square footage. Masking required when less than 6' distance.
PLAYGROUNDS, POOLS, AND PARKS:Playgrounds can be open. Pools will be allowed to operate at 50% of bather load.Parks and Trails continue to be open.
CHILDCARE, CAMPS, AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS:Childcare open with no group size limitations. Day Camps are open if the primary role is childcare with stable group sizes of 25. Private Schools reopen
LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES REMAIN CLOSED TO VISITORS THROUGH ALL REMAINING PHASES
The Springfield Greene County Health Department still encourages seniors/vulnerable population to stay at home. If possible, continue to work from home. When traveling, wearing masks in encouraged as well as monitoring for symptoms upon return from non high-risk travel upon return. Quarantine is encouraged upon return from travel. Physical distancing, increased cleaning and hand hygiene is also encouraged.
