Heidi's two best friends moved away for college so she doesn't get to see them very often. Both of her friends lost a parent in the past year, so the distance has been especially difficult for the trio. When Heidi made a trip to see her two BFF's at college to celebrate their belated birthdays, she surprised them with several gifts. The last gift they opened left everyone in tears. Heidi created personalized teddy bears at Build-A-Bear with voice recordings of their deceased parents. The girls opened the gifts and burst into tears when they heard the voices.
