Single mother Amy Peterson decided to dress up a as a man in order to take her daughter, Gracie, to the father-daughter dance that she'd been looking forward to for months.
Amy filed paperwork with the school a month before the dance to let them know she would be the parent attending the dance with her little girl. They even came up with a plan for Amy to dress up like a man. She created a beard with mascara, buying men's clothing, even wearing cologne. She says she was trying to comply with the spirit of the dance.
An hour before the dance, the principal called and forbid them to come.
