WATCH: Entire High School Rallies Behind Special Needs Student Who Scores Winning Basket!

posted by Lynne S. -

Please share this a million bazillion times until Ellen Degeneres sees it and flies her out to be on her show. This was hands-down the best moment I've ever witnessed at a basketball game. In Norman, Oklahoma on the evening of February 3rd, 2017, with the game coming down to its final seconds, the Norman High Lady Tigers are headed to victory against their cross-town rivals Norman North in the biggest game of the season. Suddenly, the student section starts chanting "Lainy, Lainy, Lainy..." Moments later, Lainy Fredrickson checks into the game. Just watch. Then watch again. Then share for the world to see. Faith in humanity: absolutely restored.

Lainy Fredrickson is a special needs student at Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma.

Last week, in the final moments of their game against rival Norman North, the crowd witnessed something very special. Lainy scored the final two points of the game with LOUD cheers from the crowd.

When the entire student section started cheering "Lainy, Lainy, Lainy," - goosebumps covered my body, so I can only imagine what the crowd must have felt witnessing such a special scene in person.

Lainy became involved with the team due to senior Brennan Hockett, who began a program called "Tiger Teammates" which offers students with special needs the chance to take part in school sports programs.

Lainy's mom, Mona Fredrickson, said "A lot of times the kids in high school get a bad rap, but he love was overflowing. They were all pulling for her to make that basket. To see the reaction from the crowd and the rival team - they were cheering her on. It was awesome."

We agree... this is totally awesome.
