Police officers in Arkansas found a sad sight on the side of the road. Two dogs had been traveling together along the highway. One of them had been hit by a car. The other refused to leave his friend's side. Officers estimate the dogs had been in the ditch for at least six hours when they were found, and said it was not easy to get the dog to go with them. "He pretty well refused to leave," said Officer Mike Owens. "Me and another officer had to pick him up and put him in the back of our truck. Then we had to pick her up and put her in the back of the truck and it seemed to calm him down a little bit when we picked her up but he was still wanting to try and get over to the next kennel."
Police are seeking the dog's owner and hope to reunite him with his family.
