Don't CHILL the WATERMELON!
Sure, it might be refreshing and tasty, but the brains at the USDA say chilling the watermelon is bad for the nutritional value of the tasty goodness which is... the watermelon!
So, how should it be served?
At room temperature.
Now, that doesn't seem to be very appetizing at all... warm watermelon? Ugh. But if the watermelon is served at 70 degrees, in air-conditioned settings, it has more nutritional value.
So... taste... or nutrition?
I'm thinking taste.
The scientists at the USDA did not say anything about soaking the watermelon in vodka, by the way...
