Here's Today's Feel-Good Story:
A new survey shows that the average person doesn't get anywhere near the quality or amount of sleep that they want.
Most Americans only get six hours of sleep on a given night and only wake up feeling rested three mornings out of the week.
Many don’t realize how their evening routine and eating habits throughout the day can impact overall sleep quality,” said Carissa Galloway, a registered dietitian nutritionist.
“Committing to a consistent and relaxing nighttime routine, as well as making healthy food and drink choices, can help support a healthy sleep regimen.”
Tips for better sleep can include:
- A warm drink before bed
- Taking naps to make up for missed sleep
- Drinking a glass of wine
- Adding new vitamins to your diet
