Kylie Jenner Reveals Painful Wardrobe Mishap With Sheer Met Gala Look

Kylie Jenner took the saying "beauty is pain" to the next level at the 2025 Met Gala.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder donned a figure-hugging Ferragamo halter gown featuring a long gray tweed skirt with a high slit and sheer corset bodice that matched her black opera gloves as she made her way into the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 5), per Page Six. She paired the look with a long black sash with a diamond-covered floral broach and completed the look with Lorraine Schwartz earrings and black pointed-toe pumps.

Apparently, Jenner took extraordinary measures to make sure her stilettos were securely in place and would not slip as she ascended the iconic stairs into the event. The Kardashians star revealed she literally taped the heels onto her feet at the direction of her Ferragamo creative director Maximilian Davis, who designed the look. She shared an Instagram Story after the event of her glam squad carefully peeling the shoes off as she understandably yelled in pain.

"Max told me to tape my feet into the shoe. And now my feet are stuck in these shoes!" she said, as her team used a solution to loosen the hold.

After shouting "ow" while they asked if if it hurt, Jenner revealed that they fortunately were able to safely get the heels off and free her feet, which she noted were "okay" in a follow-up Story.

The intense styling choice paid off as she looked stunning in her gown for this year's dress code "Tailored For You" for the theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." The theme coincided with the Costume Institute's new spring exhibition which was inspired by Monica L. Miller's 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. Don't miss out on more of the jaw-dropping fashions from the 2025 Met Gala.
