Rihanna's Cryptic Social Media Post Has The Navy Buzzing With Speculation

After stunning with her share of show-stopping looks during the first weekend of Coachella, Rihanna took to social media on Tuesday (April 17) to share a cryptic teaser that has her Navy grasping at straws.

In the post, which has gone on to garner almost one million likes on Instagram, two televisions appear in a black room with the top screen offering a cropped glimpse of what looks like the 30-year-old singer's cleavage. As for the caption of the shot, the star decided to quote a line from her 2016 Anti single, "Needed Me," writing, "didn't they tell u?"

If you've been following the star in recent months, you know that she's shifted her focus to her make-up and fashion ventures, so music is probably not the basis of this campaign. In fact, the Navy was quick to discover the star is following a verified account called @savagexfenty, which has absolutely no posts. Putting that together with the close-up shot of her cleavage had led folks to believe that this is a subtle teaser for her upcoming lingerie line.

In early March, WWD reported that the pop titan inked a partnership with El Segundo-based TechStyle Fashion Group, which works with brands like Fabletics and Just Fab. Even though a launch date has yet to be announced, sources close to the outlet revealed that TechStyle have been working on the project for more than a year and the samples for the line have already been produced. Lloyd Greif, president and chief executive officer of Los Angeles investment bank Greif & Co, told WWD that "the Rihanna brand play would be to convince the market that the company [TechStyle] has strong growth ahead because IPOs are all about growth ahead."
