Halsey has earned a legion of die hard fans who hang on every lyric, but even some of her most devoted followers don’t know she’s actually biracial.
And she opened up about her identity in a new interview in Playboy, telling the magazine in part:
“I’m white-passing. I’ve accepted that about myself.
I’m proud to be in a biracial family, I’m proud of who I am…I look like a white girl, but I don’t feel like one.
I am a black woman. So it’s been odd navigating that.”
