P!NK Clocks Christina Aguilera Fan Account After MTV Video Vanguard Reveal

Some were surprised to learn that P!NK will be the recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, including certain Christina Aguilera fans, who were hoping that the pop titan would receive this year's top honor. After the big reveal on Tuesday (August 15), fans of The Voice coach went in on the "What About Us" singer and her forthcoming honor, but P!NK wasn't having anything to do with digging up the heavily-publicized feud from the 2000s.

After the announcement, the pop vet hit back at an Aguilera fan account via Twitter, who dissed the singer as the recipient of the forthcoming VMA honor. “Want to point out an awful new phenomenon of the last 10 years," she told the hater. "We can no longer be happy for each other. I [love] Xtina, we’ve made amends. Music brings us all together. The best part of music is — there’s room for everyone to win at the same time. Don't be what’s wrong w/da world." Take a look below at more of her tweets on the matter!

Even though Aguilera was reportedly in the mix for this year's award, P!NK will take home the big-time title, joining the likes of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and more. To make the night even more of a milestone, she'll also perform at the forthcoming ceremony, which takes place at The Forum in Los Angeles on August 27 at 8PM ET.
